With all that has been said the last couple of days of who should have done what, and who should have done this or that...bottom line is that we are TECH FANS...TECH ALUMS...and let's support our team! But on the serious note, I sat right behind our band and boy, it sure brought back wonderful memories for me when I played with them at Tech. I loved it and the band we have is just plain great. Support our team, sing the RW fight song, get into the beat and let's take our GT tradtions to higher levels and beat the crap out of the cougars!

Did the flag dude graduate? Inquiring minds want to know...

Can't say for sure, but I haven't seen the dude this year....but I still believe that not having a music department that our band represents GT is a terrific way...look and sound great!

Actually, Bleedin', heretical as it may seem GT DOES have a music department. It's under the college of Architorture. Course, there still ain't no music major. We don't need no stinkin' liberal arts on North Avenue!

speaking of "flaggot", has anyone seen the ESPN Gameday spot where the male "twirler" at some "blue" university is performing at the tailgate to the utter disgust of Korso, Herbstreit and Fowler? Classic looks on their faces!

correct there GEETEELEE; meant that despite no music major, our band performs great and the band members numbers are fairly impressive with that in mind.

I noticed that our band was about 30-40% bigger than Clemson's band. That's surprising, given that Clemson has a liberal arts program.

I noticed the same thing...impressive for TECH having that many in the band, although I think TECH's band numbers are down some also.
It was pretty easy to see how much bigger TECH's band was when they were both on the field at the same time....especially looking down from the nose-bleed seats!!!

Found out recently that Tech has band members that attend GSU. That helps beef up the numbers.

BeeWare, I thought I saw a post of yours stating your son was in Tech's band the previous four years.

Tell us a little about him. What instrument did he play? What kinds of performances did he participate? Some of his and your best Tech moments while he was in the band? I would like to hear about it, and, I feel others would too.
