Out gain them by over 100yds, lose by 17

As was said in the game thread, losing is a disease. A purge of the sickness that ails us is urgent at this point.

Do hits outweigh runs in baseball?
Do shots on goals outweigh goals in hockey & soccer?
Do laps led outweigh taking the checkered flag first in auto racing?
Do fewest putts outweigh lowest score in golf?

Pretty sure we threw a fade to him in the end zone against Clemson and Ole Miss
He scored against Clemson on a streak route (don't know the common name" where he ran the back line of the endzone and caught a pass in the corner. I don't remember any in the Ole Miss game, but I only watched about half that game. We had 1st and goal from the 9 and didn't throw 1 fade to him before the screen play on 4th.

And we should keep throwing that fade. He's a senior. He needs to produce
Maybe. Fade is very low percentage play unless you have a freakishly good wr. Of course, that low percentage is likely better than our red zone scoring percentage.

It wasn't called a "fade" because we were lined up at the 15 yard line, not right near the goal line. He still ran a corner route, not backline, and Jeff threw the pass high over the outside shoulder like a typical fade route. It was essentially a fade. We threw a real fade route to him on the goal line against Ole Miss but Jeff overthrew him.

It's not low percentage when you're throwing it to a 6'7" 243lb WR with likely a 6'1" - 6'2" 190-210lb DB covering him.

Don’t even need it to be a ”fade” route just throw it up where only he can catch it, either the DB will grab him or it’s a TD

Being tall doesn’t make a player great at catching fades. It’s much more about body control, technique, getting a good release, and being on the same page as the QB.

And yea, the jump ball fade is a low percentage. In the NFL their success rate is like 15% when thrown on the goal line. Most teams reverted to throwing back shoulder rather than jump balls.
