Stratosphere is showing 48 1/2 for the over under. I am thinking that there is a good chance it is below that number.

gut feeling says thats a bit high. I would put it more in the 38-42 range, but the book makers probably have a better idea than I do.

With how the scrimmage went for our offense the other day I'd say way under.:laugher:

Just Kidding...We'll see how they play when the game gets here

As with all things Vegas, they're not predicting the game total. They're predicting a number that will split the gambling public. Everyone knows that ND can score and GT has a SR QB with 30+ starts & one of the best WRs in football (national perceptions) so the O/U is probably a bit inflated - although a 28-21 game isn't too much of a stretch.

this number has ballooned to 50. As a rule I don't bet on GT but man that under looks like a value bet

I can understand why the public would jump on +48.5 (ND averaged 36.5 in 05)
As we all know, we are simply seen as the host for ND's first debutante shower.

Bust their Ass Jackets, and take the under. For that matter, take the money line and revel in Beano Cook's depression.

I expect that number to go up. The under is looking better and better. The only potential issue, I see us having a good chance of lighting up their defense.

Their defense was ranked roughly about the same as UNC and Wake and we scored about 30 on both of them.
