Looks like tech is on both the overrated and underrated lists.
 
I mean, no one really knows how good 90% of CFB will be. GT is in that 90%. Could they win Saturday? Yes. And both Childers and Neuheisel from “Full Ride” have already picked GT. There are a lot of people picking GT right now.

That said, the schedule is what it is. Win or lose Saturday, this is likely a 7-5, 6-6 team on paper. Replace ND with a mid tier team and it’s a 8-4, 7-5 team on paper.

There is a razor thin line of error with the schedule this year. This team should improve with a new DC, and a veteran O. But that doesn’t always show up in the W/L column. Starting with Saturday and next week, it’s “overreaction” time across the country.
 
Wow, Tech being called overrated brings a tear to my eye. You have to at least be rated to be overrated. I'll take it!

Such an expert. Georgia Tech may be overrated - wonder if having the conference’s toughest schedule by far has anything to do with it? NC State and SMU underrated - perhaps that they, along with the Tarheels, have the three easiest schedules in the conference might mean they win more than they should.
 
Lol. Overrated? I didn’t realize we were rated. We’re projected to finish bottom half of ACC and we’re double digit underd*gs to a team with massive turnover across the ocean.

I mean, NCSU is a very good team that has one of the easier schedules. The games against Tennessee 9/7 and at Clemson 9/21 will end up defining their season. Can they finally win 10+ games in a season for only the 2nd time in school history?

SMU is getting a lot of love because of what they return + the Portal additions. Supposedly Gus had a convo after UCF’s season in the B12, and told Lashlee he better get the OL/DL bigger or they could struggle going up a level week in and week out. 4 game stretch will likely define their season as well. At BYU 9/6, TCU 9/21, FSU 9/28, at Louisville 10/5. Cal at home on 11/30 may be tricky. Cal could be sneaky good this year from all reports.

UNC is UNC. They have at Minnesota and James Madison in the first 4 games. GT, at FSU and NCSU are pretty much it otherwise. I’m sure they will do what they usually do. Start of 6-0 and lose 4/6 to finish the year.

2025 GT finally gets that easier schedule and better take advantage of it.
