Pac-10

Sigh. Too bad the Average Coastal Conference won't be getting 2. Life's not fair. Sigh.

The ACC is leaps and bounds better than the Pac-10 this year.

The point of this post was not about the ACC though, just that the last conference (and the Big East) to get two at-larges should be the Pac-10.

All I got to say is 51-7. SC absolutely destroyed UVA in the first game of the year.

Maryland's good twin dominated Cal earlier this year in case you forgot. Everyone knows that the Pac-10 is a one man show this year. Outside of USC, the Pac-10 has been FAR worse than the ACC.

USC does deserve an at-large (so far). That was not my point.

My point was a conference as bad as the Pac-10 should not have two teams :p

I fail to see your point.

If OSUw wins out, they get the Rose bowl bid for having the best conference record w/ the tie-break. Where does that leave USCw, which will likely end the year with a better overall record?

And really, aside from the Wa teams, they aren't any worse than the SEC.

USC would beat any team in the ACC anywhere anytime by 17 points or more.

NOBODY wants a piece of USC in the national championship game. Both the Big 12 and SEC are skeered.

The only team that wouldn't be an underdog to the Trojans is Florida, and that would probably be a pickem.

I think Florida would mop the field with USC. Other than the Ole Miss loss, they've outscored every opponent by at least 23.

As for Oregon State, they still have games left against Arizona and Oregon. It would not surprise me at all for them to lose either of these, regardless of how hot they have been. The last couple of years of college football should be a lesson to everyone in not assuming that a team will win out. If there's games left, there's a chance to lose.

Let's hope that happens in the ACC :D

I call completely bull on that....

Any of the top 6 ACC teams can beat SC this year. Yes, I said it.

At the same time, any of the top 6 ACC teams can lose to SC this year.

The ACC is a LOT better than those idiot talking heads at ESPN said it is (they assigned a bull**** Big10 homer Dinich to cover the ACC). The only problem with the ACC is that it is ridiculously young, making it very unpredictable and inconsistent.

After seeing Duke (the 11th best team in the ACC) beat Vandy ( a mid-level SEC team) I have no respect for anyone who claims that the ACC is "such a bad conference". And that includes the "protecting several billion dollars of investment" ESPN talking empty heads too...

Not sure why we here bash HD every chance we get--she actually covered Maryland before working at ESPN. Granted, she went to Indiana University, but I do not see her promoting Big10 over us in her blogs. Mind giving me an example of this?
