PAC-12 unded

This just keeps getting more ridiculous. I suppose they (theoretically) want into the playoff despite only playing 7 games starting in November?

How does a championship game on a day where all the teams are playing work, exactly? Like, what if the two best teams aren’t settled yet? Do the two best teams just cancel their last game and play each other instead?

The Big 10 is doing this. 8 Week 8 game regular season. Week 9 the two top teams play each other in championship. how ever they determine that. but the other 12 teams also play that day in basically cross division consolation games. problem with big 10 model is no bye weeks built in. zero.

Just think, we'd almost be halfway done with our season this weekend with a 7 game schedule

I just erased a very long reply to this thread.

Instead, I will simply say - nobody gives a flying öööö about the PAC12. Football has already moved on without you.

They’re gonna get like 4.5 games in per team. They have to know they don’t have a prayer at getting into the playoff. They might as well just play a 10 game season and skip a bowl season that might not happen anyway.

Oregon could go 7-0 and not crack the Top 6 pretty much regardless of what happens around the country. They’d need an undefeated team with name recognition (Oregon/USC) to play the whole schedule, go undefeated, have a two-loss conference champ from the ACC/B10/B12, AND not have any one-loss SEC teams / ND.

This is what happens when you are a follower and not a leader. The ACC and SEC were leaders. The B1G and PAC12, unbeknownst to them were followers. Keep this in mind for all my StinGTalk brethren who are in positions of leadership. Don't wait for someone else to decide what is right - decide for your self.

Looks like Newsom & the other governors suspended restrictions on sports. Says a lot!

:lol2:
no kidding. eventually if you want to go to California, Oregon, et al you'll have to fly international. i really do believe that. i'm big Pac 12 fan though. we use Pac 12 in our fantasy league. during normal years.

No win requirements for bowl games

And bowl eligibility was the CFP's threshold. They're paving the way for a 3-0 Ohio State who has to isolate, then beat Maryland, Indiana and Illinois, then isolate again.

No win requirements for bowl games

Bowls requiring to pick teams based on record has been a saving grace for schools that aren't diploma mills. This is how the doors open to a 3-win FSU or Louisville gets a bowl invite over a 6-win Tech, assuming the ACC doesn't enforce selection policy
