I thought it was the right call. Evidently, those of you in the student section disagreed. The bulls**t chants came out. That was about the only cheering I heard all game. Although I'd rather the words be changed due to my 3 year old son, it was better than the rest of the game where fans looked like they were at a funeral.

It's tough to get excited when you know you're team is going to win by a pretty large margin even if they play poorly that day....not defending the "BS" chants, but the overall atmosphere is going to suffer when playing an FCS opponent.

I remember Samford a few years ago, the stadium noise didn't even react when we scored touchdowns.

It was the right call as far as I could tell. And if your going to get a PI call, that is the way to get one. Forget the hand slapping crap.

+1zillion. That was a great hit... just a split second too early. The ref that made the call was behind them though, so I don't know how he saw it.

I was sitting on the 40 looking straight at it. Great hit, but it was early. The right call. Period.

I saw it on replay and it was the right call, but it looked bad to me initially. I'm impressed the officials got it right without the benefit of replay.

Yeah, watched it on 360. Was a boom boom play, and only on slo mo replay could I completely agree with the ref. But on slo mo, it is clear that Coop did hit the guy early -- but only by a short fraction of a second.

Very clear that it was the correct call from the stands(maybe I was just at a good angle.) But the chant was not really a surprise.

I saw it very well from where I was sitting (corner to the left of the band). It was obvious to me it was PI, the people around me were booing, and I told my friend everyone who is yelling bull**** is a dumbass. At leas when the replay was shown, people realized it was PI. I've been to games where people would continue to yell even when the replay was clear cut.

Same here as I had a good angle on it as well. Great hit, but a tad too early and I knew it right when it happened --as did the guy sitting directly behind me. I can see though, where someone sitting in the student section might think it was a bad call.

Yes, also very clear from where I sit. I hate when an official gets it right and gets booed. Kind of like the boy who cried wolf.
