Feel free to add to the list, I'm sure there's plenty more.

Just because a guy can scream, jump around, and high five his players does not mean he's a good coach. On that note, I don't want a player's coach either. How about a disciplinarian instead - someone who emphasizes fundamentals, going to class, etc? I wasn't a big O'L fan, but that is certainly one thing I missed about him.

Didn't O'l "discipline" cause him the job of a lifetime and cause us to go on probation?

Sure, there are other coaches who's had fire with little success. Orgeron, Ron Zook (although he found a way to be successful this year), Houston Nutt, among others.

The reason I like Muschamp is because his defenses have always ranked very well. The coaches mentioned here were all only successful as position coaches, while Muschamp has done well as a DC for two schools.

Ted Roof.

True, but lets look at this for a second. Both Bunting and Amato were POSITION coaches. They had neither head coaching experience NOR coordinator experience.

Ted Roof wasn't even a successful DC.

Muschamp has been a successful DC where ever he has been. He's young and energetic. I'll go out on a limb and say that at the time of a possible hire, Muschamp is clearly more attractive than the three you listed.
