Beeware,

Before I get lumped in with Ahso, I want to make it clear I don't think Nix should be the OC. I said the same things about BOB a few years ago and he is already a "name" in the south. However, I do believe Nix's day is coming, I hope it's here.

I will say I've been a little disappointed with BOB's game plans up until the UNC game, but there is no doubt he is top notch. However, even BOB would admit that we would have been better off establishing the run, short passing game against BYU and Clemson. If BOB made one mistake this fall, he overestimated AJ's ability to hit the ground running in this offense, but it's coming together.

When it's all said and done, we will be very happy with the job the 2002 offensive staff has done.

axe,
I wasn't disagreeing with your post. I hope Nix turns out great.
I was just poking a little fun at ahso since I know that Nix is a favorite of his.

I do agree with you that BOB has been hampered a little bit by the line starting off slowly and AJ not being as far along as we might have hoped. But both the line and AJ are progressing and BOB will be just fine.
I do wish that Andy Hall had stayed though.

Don't think I said anything about the o-line. I've been very happy with their play. We are light years ahead of where we were last year on the o-line. Not a knock on the previous staff, because last season's line was too young in some spots and physically limited in others.

I think you have to be impressed when you consider our biggest concern on the o-line a few weeks ago, was just voted ACC OL of the week. It might just be me but that has to say something about the job our coaches are doing with this group.

I agree on Andy Hall. When he quit, I actually thought he was playing better than Suggs. Just my opinion. Suggs really turned it on the last week or so of spring practice.

I totally agree ... I wish Andy Hall had stayed ... he knew our complex system well, had a good arm and was a very mobile QB. He made one hell'ave throw in the bowl game against Stanford. We have a great offensive system and as soon as Suggs and Bilbo learn it well, the offense will get the kinks out and start firing on all cylinders ... hopefully.(I thought they looked like they were starting to get there this past Saturday.)

Since I'm currently training a new puppy, I guess
I'll apply some similar behavior modification for 'ole
Beeware.

Good boy! Good post! Good boy!

It looks like it might be-------. Yes, it is out of here folks! That is definitely a home run that will have to be measured. Get the tape out boys!

...During the spring and summer, I mentioned a number of times how impressed I was with Patrick Nix on the practice field. He's intense, detail-oriented, and he seems to relate well to the kids. So far the RBs performances on the field, seem to backup my initial feelings on Nix.

My gut feeling tells me that 3-5 years from now Patrick Nix will be a big coaching name in the south. Just my gut feeling.

ahso,
I don't want to put any pressure on you, but you SHOULD be able to hit this one out of the park (ala Barry Bonds).
