Offense
The starting 11 on offense: Quarterback TaQuon Marshall, B-back Jordan Mason, A-backs Clinton Lynch and Qua Searcy, wide receivers Jalen Camp and Brad Stewart, Quinney at left tackle, left guard Parker Braun, center Jahaziel Lee, right guard Brad Morgan and right tackle Will Bryan.

Defense
The starting 11: Defensive ends Anree Saint-Amour and Desmond Branch, nose tackle Kyle Cerge-Henderson, outside linebackers Victor Alexander and Jalen Johnson, inside linebackers Brant Mitchell and David Curry, strong safety Tariq Carpenter, free safety Malik Rivera and cornerbacks Swilling and Askew.

That defensive backfield is absurdly young. Not sure how that will look this season, but it's good news for the future. These last 2 recruiting classes were a significant improvement from previous years, IMO, so we should hopefully start to see some on-field results soon.

True. But askew, swilling, and Jackson were all big time recruits. Would’ve been nice to have Gray back there for some veteran leadership.

It might be tough to see this year while breaking in the new scheme, but next year’s defensive depth chart should be one of the most talented we’ve had under CPJ.

agreed - am curious to see what Woody does with Div-1 talent. Roof was a better recruiter than coach.

what has happened to Simmons at CB - not even on two deep.

some surprises for me - thought the following would start - marshall, kerr, simmons, campbell (although knew that was a close battle). It's all good - just surpised,

V. Alexander wasn't a senior last year? Well you just made my night , sir! He might be undersized for a LB, but we all know that if you want it enough, your mom's a slut.

We have a strong safety on special teams?! Return coverage must be really bad to need a safety on the kicking units!

I guess the SS means short snapper, but I don’t understand what that position is supposed to do. The SS for field goals and the LS for punts? I see the player names are swapped and maybe that’s the reason for the distinction?

Read in another thread that Simmons is nursing a minor injury as the reason he is not listed in the initial 2 deep. Have not seen that anywhere else, so TIFWIW.

Is it just me or is this one of CPJ’s lightest O-Lines he’s had here? Usually we have a least a couple of guys tipping 300 out there as starters. I don’t doubt that we’ll be at least okay with this group but big D-Lines are going to take advantage of the size difference.

Brenton king not winning PK is fart noises.

I have no idea what I'm talking about as we have such a small sample size for both Davis and King, but for some reason, this makes me nervous. I would ideally want our scholarship kicker to grab that job by now. I also think we're trying to get a kicker for this year's class, so it's obvious CPJ isn't sold on what we have.

Saw this story from earlier in the summer regarding Malik Rivera.

https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/graduate-transfers-join-georgia-tech/3JoS24ZVKNYopojI0u5jNM/

"Rivera, from St. Johns, Fla., played in 28 games and started 17 in three seasons with the Terriers. Last season, he ranked third on the team in tackles, with 73, and had four pass breakups. His position coach for the past two seasons was Shiel Wood, now the safeties coach at Tech.

Rivera was a triple major at Wofford in mathematics, finance and computer science. He will pursue a master’s in quantitative and computational finance."

Nice! Dude is a frikkin financial analyst genius like @Akinji07.
