CFB is an uncapped pro league and only some teams are paying. Coaches are overpaid and players are underpaid at most schools. Take advantage of this. Set the new precedent. Innovate. This is the way.

1) Figure out how cheap you can get Brent Key = X
2) Figure out how expensive your top pick is going to be = Y
3) Y-X=Z
4) Z/88= new player universal salary
5) Hire Key
6) Get the boosters who were going to shell out the money for Y to instead buy super expensive custom merch we can use to funnel Z to the players
7) Poach kids from other schools who are getting paid less than (Z/88)
8) Profit

If Brent wants too much money, shop him against someone cheaper so we can pay the players more.

Steal the IPTAY idea, but do it for merch.

$500/year subscription plan gets you a signed jersey. You can buy as many subscriptions as you like. All money goes into the player salary pool. The jersies have the number "500" on the back, so when you wear them to the game everyone knows you have skin in the game.

The schools paying $10m/year to the Brian Kelly’s and Jimbo Fishers are doing it wrong. Pay $1M to the coach, $9m to the players.
This.

They're going to catch on sooner or later, but if we beat them to it then we can set the table and have some good years until they realize they can pay their kids more than the NFL minimum.

If I pay $500 can the player be my pen pal? Then I can brag to my friend that we are tight after he makes a good play.

Give it a few years. We probably aren't that far away from this. I foresee 18 year old kids getting millions to play at Bama or UGA (and other type schools). Pretty soon they might as well just action themselves off. Only difference is, there is no contract tying them to complete their obligations. Sooner or later some kid will realize that. Meaning they will get paid to play a year and then get paid to transfer to play for a 2nd team and then maybe a 3rd... Who needs loyalty when you can make a millions just playing the shell game of college football?

Should've aired the last 3 seasons and GC's press conferences on OnlyFans. We'd then have money for a real coach. And real grass.

They wouldn't know how to fill out an envelope or to put the flag up on the mailbox

I came out of Georgia Tech with five figures of student debt. How about the opportunity for a top-notch diploma tuition free? That sounds like a great deal. Used to be that way. Should still be that way.
This mentality will ensure Tech is on the outside looking in when college football splits into the major league with money and minor league where players still have to go to class.

That only works for kids that want the degree. Kids that have dreams of playing in the NFL aren't worried about being able to solve differential equations or code a swap function.
