How many seats do expect to be empty at the chickfila bowl?

Some just don't realize what type of big-time atmosphere this game has become.

I am absolutely elated we got into this one! IMO, it DEFINITELY has a bigger-game feel than even the Orange Bowl....at least recently.

For sure. I was there last year for the Auburn-Clemson game and it was amazing. Having the home town team in and a travelling fanbase in LSU(hopefully) should mean there's no dropoff this year.

I really feel like Tech fans will be outnumbering whichever fanbase arrives in Atlanta.

What do you guys think? Will we have more fans at the game?

I am hoping and thinking this is so.....we just beat Georgie for Pete's Sake.

We did last time we were there, and playing lsu.

Coincidentally to end a surprisingly good year with a win over Georgia.

I think the place is going to be more white and gold by a noticeable stretch. Obviously you can't tell by the colors really, but the noise will prove it to be show.

Tech gets 40,000 at a decent game at BDS during the regular season. There should be a lot more demand for this game, and it's over a holiday making it easier to travel to for the out-of-town folks. Even without the students, some of whom will be home for the holidays and/or unable to afford tickets, I am sure we can fill over half the Dome. The one big variable is price sensitivity. The LSU/USC fans may be willing to spend more for tickets.

We sold the joint out in 2000 and outnumbered LSU by a good bit IIRC. The place was rocking when we were up 14-3 at the half. A 25-0 2nd half sucked the life out of our part of the building though...

got my tickets going to ATL on the 30th and hope to see round ball that nite and then end the year in the Peach bowl celebrating!

Course I could have read the schedule wrong but I was sure the gals and guys were both playing the nite of the 30th.

LSU fans travel to Atlanta EXTREMELY well. If we play LSU, I think they could match or outnumber us.

I went to the SEC championship last year and that place was packed almost 50/50 Tenn LSU.

Oh, and LSU fans are not very friendly. If they get a big first down, they'll let you know more than just cheering amongst themselves.

I was with my buddy, a Tenn alum, and he was pushing and shoving the LSU fans like it was nothing....so much passion-mixed insanity at that game it was ridiculous.

History does not dictate that lsu will be buy CFABowl tickets than us...and I've heard a lot of complaints about how UT outnumbered them really badly at the last ACCCG.

My buddy is a die hard lsu fan...and he is plenty friendly, unless lsu is playing football anywhere in the country lol.
