Personally I am pissed at the Music City Bowl.

due to the fact that they accepted FSwho over us for their game.

1. FSU will NOT travel well to Nashville. They could not fill their stadium this year as it is.

2. They have re-upped Bobby Bowden for another year. Everything I am hearing here in Florida is that they are very disapointed at the 1 year extension.

3. Music City could have taken us over FSU due to conference records and tie ins. I realize FSU went out west last year, but they could have placed them in Boise instead of us.

4. I really believe we would have travelled well to Nashville due to proximity and a new coach coming on board.

5. I just hope our SA's will go out west and put on a show.

GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!

I'm definitely disappointed. I could have gone to the Emerald or Music City bowl, but Boise is just so far out of the way...

they may not travel well; but from a pure business decision picking FSU over a GT is a no brainer IMO; and picking FSU over a coachless GT is even a bigger one...

just saying...pure business decision....it seems to make sense to me.

but I would have loved to go to nashville. I already had a room booked incase.

If we had named a new coach before bowl selections were made, then I wonder whether GT might be playing in Nashville.

Not having a coach at present may have hurt GT's chances when the bowl selection was made.

Chan got us in that crap-ass bowl. It's hard to even watch it on TV- that blue field blinds you

What is Roady's?

On the plus side, we get to avenge a dumb loss to Fresno State from a few years ago in some other way out west bowl, right?

Kind of a sad thing to say, but, historically, we play well in Boise.

I was good for ten tickets to the MCB....and totally believe we would have had a good showing in Nashville. I am SO tired about hearing that Tech doesn't travel....that is just pure BS!!!
Give us a reason to go and a decent bowl and the Tech family will travel. Hello Virginia last year? Anyone? 2,000 measley tickets? Give me a freakin' break.
Like so many have mentioned, if only we had beat MD or VA, we wouldn't be packing mittens!

We traveled pretty well to the ACCCG last year even tho' we lost to our rival the week before.

Fans did well then. The players, otoh?

I agree...somewhat. We're not UGA or Clemson but we did buy 10,000 more tickets to the ACCCG last year than VT did this year(a team most people think travels well)

maybe all our alumni in the claifornia/silicon valley region out west who work with all those technology companies will go. we need to get the word out to them. just a thought.

We had a real argument for picking us over FSU until the firing. Our chance was about 50/50. We paved our own way to Boise this year. The unhappy fans are happy, I guess, but the players and other fans were denied any chance to play a bowl in Nashville before a good crowd, their families, and against an SEC opponent.

It's the holidays, I'll be back in AL.

Boise isn't all that close to here anyway.
