Pitch the ööööing ball.

Ok. Pitched. Now what? Oh, of course, don't get tackled by those 7 dudes dressed like pumpkins who outweigh you by 70 pounds and run 20% faster than you who just shed a token attempt at a block.

The pitch was gonna get intercepted all night long. There was no pitch. Our edge blockers were flopping like fishies on their bellies. Their D was stepping over our little block attempts on the edge. For as bad as Taq was last night, his decision to never pitch was sound.

There were definitely at least a couple times where he could have pitched it for big yardage. But I think it's tough to confidently pitch it when you're getting blown up every other play. As you said, most of the night it just wasn't there.

You’re right - I recall one time in the second half when I believe Cotrell looked like he had his guy blocked and would have probably gone for a decent gain. There were probably other times as well, but those opportunities seemed rare and taq mind wasn’t right. I wish we had gone to MJ earlier. If we had two options up the guy we may have appeared more competitive.
