The damn ballgame Saturday will not be on TV here in middle GA. What a freakin travesty. If D Rad wanted something to work on, that would be it, to get the local stations to carry the games offered by indies like Lincoln/Jefferson Pilot, etc. There are more stations in the state of Fla carrying this game than in the home state of GA.

No wonder so many recruits don't take us seriously.

Hell there is a private high school in Macon that webcasts their games and a Div 1-a team can't get webcast or broadcast in its home state.

I would imagine there are big problems with licensing. You can't just go and webcast or sign local stations up to sign games; it has to be worked out with the company that has the rights to our games. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable on those than me can comment further.

I feel you. If you have Cox, you can buy a week of ESPN Game Plan for $22. Fox, our Lincoln Financial affiliate in Macon, will be showing the Auburn/Vanderbilt game. Who, in middle Georgia, wants to see that. The crazy thing is, I believe that the Tech game will be played in Columbus. You know, the city in Georgia that would rather see Auburn :pat:

Yeah, I'm originally from Columbus and the Auburn game would have ASTRONOMICALLY more viewers than the Tech game.

Maybe it's a conspiracy between the indep and the local cable company to sell gameplan.

(I think this board needs another conspiracy theory)

I live in Northern Virginia and ESPN decided to show the stinkin Michigan St. game over the Tech/Clemson game last week.

So I manned up, forked over the $20 for GamePlan and popped open a cold one.

It was a good decision.

Well I'm on Northland Freakin Cable. They don't carry ESPN Gameplan, U or any of the other ESPN bastards.

Will it be carried locally in Atlanta?

beej67,
hasn't checked

I'm going back to Bradley's off of Johnson Ferry and Lower Roswell, nice crowd there for the virginny game and the owner is a Tech Grad!

I hope he gave you free beer or something, 'cause at least half of us were there on your recommendation!

I'll be doing soccer (x2), tennis, and school carnival this week so yell a little on my behalf.

John's a good guy, I hope he does well and yes he did comp me a round or two lol. No sports for me until Harry's game at 7.

MM for the most part did everyone enjoy themselves? I got there late and sat on the other side of the wall.

No kidding? I can walk there from my house.

Might just do that. Maybe I can convince JTS to drive up from downtown, and bring some SWAGGER. (!!!!!)

Beej, I'm 3 sub divisions down from Bradley's. A great selling point if I stay out too late I can just walk home.

See these are some of the things that I have to worry about. LOL

I live down Davidson Rd.

..and usually just drink in my house, hehe.

Dang. I'm only about 3 miles up JF from there too. How long has it been called Bradley's? That place was changing names so often for a while that we were scared to go back.

Clapper, I think John has had it maybe a year if not less. He seems to be trying hard to make a good go of it. Lots of dogs in there.

Even the bartender felt he needed to tell me he was going to the nadlicker/olemiss game and asked me if I had ever been to athens to see a game.

Obviously not very bright.
