PJ gets votes for best coach in the country

Paul Johnson a heck of a coach? Of course. Paul Johnson a proven best on the DivI level? Not yet, but I see where his name could be brought up.

I think his system offense puts question marks for the BCS level fans. His goal is to put his system to the BCS level and succeed w/ it. That has yet to be proven, so it is debatable. I think that it will work, w/ more passing smelted in.

Enjoyed that thread. It's always an interesting debate of who does more with less or who's a great coach vs great recruiter. No doubt CPJ has gotten a lot out of his talent and teams, maybe more than anyone else. I definitely like the Grobe pick. Nobody mentioned Stoops at OU - he's at least as good as Tressel.

BTW, 76t's is that Quincy Carter? What's up with that?

It came from the AJC article of him making a shot at arena football. Not praising the man. In fact I almost ran him over in Athens one night bar hopping. Bitter taste from missing that opportunity.

I don't think there will be any question that Paul Johnson will do what it takes to win at Tech within the parameters of his offense. I honestly do not believe he will come in and be so hard-headed not to adjust if things just are not working. I've seen him adjust and it usually works out. If running straight Trip-O doesn't get the job done, he'll find a way to exploit the offense's advantages.

Was this guy a prophet??? He mentioned Johnson having GT's talent at Navy... Hmmm and guess what he ended up with? GT's talent at GT... He told the future and didn't even realize it.

I thought it was a pretty good link. Only one guy really thought CPJ "gimmicky" offense wouldn't work.
