Well, this is starting to get interesting. All of the speculation on another site was about her possibly having an inappropriate relationship. Now, she got herself one of Christine Blasey Ford's lawyers?

She's claiming it's because she spoke out about gender equality.

But that seems bizarre to me. I could see retaliation for that happening, but it would be weird to come in the form of a suspension for unspecified reasons. You would think they would fire her and say it was because of poor performance so they would have plausible deniability.

If I knew I’d spill it, but you don’t suspend you all time winningest coach that is on the verge of a possible NCAA Bid if they haven’t done some öööö wrong.

Yeah, I agree. When I said bizarre I meant to imply that I don't believe her reasoning here.

Agree. I think she knew she was about to be fired for cause and is going to fight for some money.

All time winningest coach in GT women's basketball history isn't saying much.

And no one cares about women's basketball. You could gather a scrub team of guys from a pickup game in Atlanta and kick the crap out of the best women's basketball team. It is just how it is. Women's basketball is almost an entirely different sport than men's basketball. Women's basketball is much slower. Much less physical.

If this is a pay thing, then tough luck.

You may be right about women’s basketball, but I kind of doubt it. Back in the day, I was friends with one of the top tennis players in Atlanta. He was asked to play a practice match against Chris Everett before a tournament and Everett drilled him 6-1, 6-1. I played golf with the #2 player from Kennesaw State’s golf team one day. She played from our old guy tees (about 6200 yards) and she shot 68. I think these lady players may be better than you think.

Both are different than basketball. Golf is a borderline sport. Tennis just isn't very popular. If it were possible to prove, I would. Women are severely over matched in a physical contest like basketball.

Two sports with literally zero physical contact, which don't involve jumping at all. Not really a good comparison.

Basketball is just the worst sport for the female physique. Women's soccer is fine to watch, softball is possibly better than baseball to watch, women's tennis at least resembles the men's game...but women's basketball is just plain bad.

What a mess! We will end up paying her more than Paul Hewitt.

I think GT has her by the whatever. She knows it and threw this b.s. charge out to try and save her butt.

She is Toast that is covered and smothered.

Neither Serena nor Venus could beat a guy who was ranked around 200 on the men’s tour, and he played them after having played golf and having a few beers. And he claims to have played about half effort.

They were kind of young at the time, but I am sure the top 200 could easily beat the best woman tennis player in the world right now.
