Some nice screen calls and Rb out of backfield - Had some nice play calss at the right time

That was my biggest takeaway as well. He really seemed to call just the right play most of the time.

I only questioned one call, and it was the sequence he called three plays rather than the plays themselves.

But here's the thing about play-calling... if you think it should be a particular way and you are dead set, you will be feasted on by DC's who will all figure out your tendencies. What you call stupid play-calls are often just maintaining the random mix, which basic game theory proves is important.

FSU recognized a handful of plays as they unfolded. Kudos to them. We did the same.

Sounds like the there's some validity to the lack of proper personnel argument. In any case, love the development of everyone players and coaches. Can't afford to leave points on the board if we want dubyas.
The biggest thing was that the plays he called actually got to run past the snap with Sims standing in the pocket. Last year the rollouts and scrambling started with the snap. That’s not running the plays that are called.

With lots of yardage but no points to show for it, I wonder if there was any talk of letting other QB take some 2H snaps (glad that didn’t happen)

A lot of the offense was runs to the perimeter and QB scrambles. Not much different than what CPJ did.

It was a good game plan that put up a lot of yards against a very good defense.

He did a nice job rotating the backs, keeping them fresh. Obviously a nice job spreading the passing out to a lot of guys.
