Fresh off the bye week, we visit Cav Man at a place that has been tough for us to win, with only 3 victories in the past 30 years, counting the 1990 thriller! If we see improvement through the first half of the season, this should be a solid win for the Jackets.

I think the thriller was in 1990.

I chose 50% but I think we pull this one out. I think very highly of Mendenhal but pretty sure we are passing UVa on the talent front.

Doh! Not sure how I typo'ed that! Perhaps because it was the year of my marriage, a date that is seared into my brain.

There is no evidence of us passing them on any front, eckspecially coaching and player development.
I'm not up for this debate at the moment but rest assured - I'll get back to you on this.

Brings a tear to my eye. I knew a couple guys on that team - I was in Philly that year - me and a buddy from Philly who was an all-star at MD drove to College Park for our game against MD that year. That was the only game I saw in person that year.

But, I was in ATL thru 1989 and used to go to "Breakfast with Bobby" at 6:00 am on Friday during football season - that guy was amazing. The two best Xs and Os coaches I have ever been around were Ross and Johnson. Ross was not a complicated guy - he knew exactly what he needed to build a program and he took what Curry left behind, added some talent and won a National Championship. In my opinion, Ross's NC was bigger than Heisman's, Alexander's or Dodd's - Ross was at a much bigger disadvantage but won anyway.
