Hey, its Wake Forest, what could go wrong? Under 3rd year coach Dave Clawson, the Dekes scratched out a winning record in 2016. And they are looking to build on that. However, their schedule is a bit tougher this season than last.

Wake is known for having an anemic offense. That's likely to continue this year, so that should help our cause. They are returning a lot of talent on offense, so strange things could happen. Defensively they are returning about half of their starters although they will be breaking in a new defensive coordinator.

Wake played Army each of the last two years. The Deacs won on a FG as time expired in 2015, but Army beat them pretty solidly last year. They know what to expect from Tech's offense, but will need to show some improvement defensively if they hope to keep up. This game is Tech's homecoming game and comes after 9 days rest from UM. I'm not very optimistic about playing in south Florida, so I see this as a bounce back game and a must win before traveling to Clemson.
