Polls are out! Do you think USF is the #6 team in the nation?

Look at the discrepancy between the AP poll and the coaches poll for the 1st place team. Interesting...

We got 0 votes in the AP poll.

Who would have thought we would ever see USF, BC, and Kentucky in the top 10 at the same time?

Kyle, I'm sore at you for putting down both Tech and Clemson in my thread over on the Clemson board. Please tell me it was all in jest.

We played our best game. We beat an undefeated team in our own conference, not a pretender that is 0-for (unless they won yesterday) The defense was great and the special team play was incredible.

Clemson's field goal kicker is usually reliable so we had something special going for us. Now admit it.

We played our best game? No we didn't, we played well enough to win.

So tell me our best game. I could use a good laugh if you say the ND or Samford game was better than the game with Clemson.

Look, I'm telling you what I think. Our defense played pretty well. They were helped by some penalties and did give up some long drives and had a horrible time on 3rd down. Clemson's offense played well enough to score 10 points at least.

Offensively we sucked. In the first 5 minutes of the game we had 4 penalties and a fumble. Our passing game was nonexistent throughout the game and the only reason we were able to score points was because our special teams put us in great field position all day. I'm just curious, what was our longest drive?

Our special teams won us the game yesterday, plain and simple. It was an ugly win. It was 13-3. Our best game was against ND 33-3. Even though they sucked, all facets of our team were working.

They were all working against Samford, too, and that simply ain't sayin' much if anything at all.

We played better overall against ND probably, but the point is we haven't played a complete game yet against anyone.

I'm afraid we did play our best game and without significant improvements in our passing game, this may well have been our overall best effort for the year.

Notre Dame sucks, Clemson is a pretender, we got waxed at home by a decent BC team, and couldn't win at VA with that VA team. Looks like another gailey type of year.

Getting back to the polls --I have no idea how USF will continue on with their season --but for right now I think they are deserving of their #6 ranking.

They're one of only three teams to have defeated two teams ranked (at the time of their meeting) in the top 25 --LSU and USC being the other two teams.

In fact, I haven't been overly impressed with Wisconsin --so I would probably rank USF #5 right now.
