Let me break the ice. Since the first team offense spent the entire week pulling splinters out of their ass due to Gaileys unbelievable need to play players that barring some wrath of god disaster wont see action this year, our offense looked out of sync and ill prepared. I know this may come as a shock to you guys that spent your only time on the football field toting a flute at halftime, but game reps are hugely different than practice reps. This was displayed nicely today.
Because Gailey didn't give the first team at least a whole half of football to find its rhythm in either of the first two patsy games, they were forced to look for it against a quality opponent. And it was not to be found. Passing game looked out of sync, our running back was way tired, and we had no timeouts at the end of the game. This spells one thing. Not enought REAL Game reps. AJ pulled our ass out of the fire many times today and imho he does NOT share in the blame for this game. The lack of momentum we had at the end of the UConn game was obviously carried into the Clemson game. That really makes me angry.
It was poorly gameplanned from the outset and poorly coached during the game. Did we have any film on Clemson from this year?
