Possible College Game Day for Thurs vs. Jax State

Well not really the game day per se but maybe just some additonal coverage!

IT would be something to SELL OUT his first game here on the FLATS! GO JACKETS!! BUST THEIR ____!!!
Looks like our opening of the "Perfect Option" era under CPJ might go under a magnifying glass w/ the possiblility that hype and coverage could pick it up thanks to the Perr. transfer....well well well....I say bring it on. Might as well get that one under way...funny though they just brush right over what got Perr. & Jax. State into that position....I hope we CRUSH them & the entire nation is put on notice that CPJ HAS BROUGHT A WINNING TRADITION TO THE FLATS !!!

1. College Game Day coming to the ATL? The folks at ESPN like to keep their options open and insist no decision has been made. But I’m hearing that the College Game Day boys are coming to Atlanta on Aug. 30 as part of the run-up to the Clemson-Alabama game at the Georgia Dome. That’s going to be a fun weekend of football around here. Georgia Tech plays Jacksonville State (and Ryan Perrilloux) on Thursday, Aug. 28. There will be plenty of high school football on Friday. Georgia will play Georgia Southern in the afternoon (I’m guessing) on Aug. 30 in Athens with Clemson-Alabama as the nightcap back in Atlanta.
2. Tech’s game with Jax State looks a lot different: About a week ago Georgia Tech’s opener with Jacksonville State looked like a pretty good way for Paul Johnson to make his debut as the head Yellow Jacket. But now Jax State has gone from having no quarterback to lining up behind center with Perrilloux, the MVP of the 2007 SEC championship game. That should sell a few more tickets to the Thursday night event and give new defensive coordinator Dave Wommack something to think about this summer.
 
Strange that they'd consider doing College Gameday, but the game has no national TV coverage.
 
How does our game in an August date not have TV time? That's nuts. I would think DRad could get someone to pick this up.
 
BOR, orginally Tech was going to play Jax on Saturday. However when Gary Stokian who heads up Atlanta Central Progress decided to try and schedule Clemson& Alabama at the Ga Dome on the same Saturday, DRad got mad as hell (as he should have) and moved the game to Thursday.Game Day is here for the Clemson / Ala. game. Piss poor move IMO on Stokian's part to schedule an ACC teams game in the very same city as another ACC member. No respect at all for GT on Stokian's part.
 
Jax State has not even been very good in I-AA (FCS) the last few years, if we dont win by at LEAST 21 points then there are HUGE problems. If we avoid fumbleitis for the first game it should be a cakewalk and the QB perrillouxxixuixe should spend the entire afternoon looking at the sky laying on his back after every play with JAX's line.

I expect the game to be close at 1/2 but a blowout by the end of the 3rd. Then we should all prepare for the biggest meltdown in college football history as UGA misses the XP and gets beat by GSU 35-34 :fingersx:
 
Absolutely no way -

South Carolina plays NC State at the same time that night. There's another one also, which is better than our match up also, but not as good as the Carolina match up.
 
If the Swarm doesn't wave fake money at Perrilloux I'll be disappointed. I believe he was involved in a counterfeiting question a couple of years back, which is not your usual dope/hooker/theft/barfight/DUI that most footballers who get in trouble get in trouble for.
 
I sure hope somebody airs the game on TV. Its not looking like im going to be able to make it to this thursday nighter afterall. Im going to try my best tho!!
