Everything but the "GTU" thing. grr
"
he took over a Navy team that had literally won 1 game (Army) in 2 years. It was arguably the worst program in d1, and well below several d1-aa teams. In year 2 he won 10 games. Same players. Same schedule.
He hasn't even scratched the surface of the offense he's going to implement at GTU. Right now he's keeping it simple--there is only so much you can do in one spring practice/pre-season. Keep in mind, he had several transfers, decomits, etc., when he was hired. This is year 1, and they have 8 wins.
GTU is going through the roof. Now he will have a solid defense to support him (unlike what he had at Navy). Who knows what he will come up with now that he has the luxury of a defense that gives him some 3 and outs?
One thing I disagree with--I think Niumalatola, who has worked with PJ going back to his days as a GA with him at Hawaii, will keep Navy at a high level and be the next coach to be plucked away, once people see how well PJ does at Tech."
