Poster\'s Views and Stingtalk
I have read all the posts regarding the Clemson game and have noted everyone's opinions. I really appreciate the right to give my opinion, and the right others have to give their opinions.
I have disagreed with several posters, had some disagree with me, and have seen disagreements between others. I think all of this is healthy. I may have even learned why Bilbo did not play Saturday from one post, however, it has not been confirmed yet.
I have seen only one or two posts that told others they were stupid or out of line for their critique of the coaches. I do not expect every one to agree with my posts and I will not agree with all posts.
No person holds the exclusive right of stating their opinion is true and someone else's opinion is not true. The only thing that will stand on its own are facts. There are many people on the board who have played a variety of athletics and have differing opinions of the methods to play a certain aspect of the game.
Even though a poster is known to have played a sport, that does not give him authority, nor does it mean his opinions are better than another poster. It is merely an opinion and has to stand on its own against the other opinions of the board.
Even BeeWare's opinions have the same weight as all other posters on Stingtalk. By the way, I have not seen an opinion from BeeWare regarding the game. Maybe he is on extended vacation from the Clemson trip. I am sure I will aready know his opinion, but I will not try to belittle him for that. I do have the right of rebuttal.
My point: posters calling other's names for giving their opinions are the ones that are out of order.
I do not believe there is a poster on Stingtalk that has given up on Tech. Most posters are disappointed by the showing and are merely voicing their reasons for the loss. It would seem rather odd if we all were happy with the loss and offered no reasons for it.
I think most of the posters are willing to give the coach a chance, but we do have the right to critique all of the coaches actions. In fact, one of the pleasures of these boards is the "Monday Morning Quarterbacking" discussions.
Be nice! All opinions are equal.
