Here is what I have from practice today. Practice got delayed by the rain as most of you know. Much sparser crowd out to watch today than yesterday.

Nesbitt continues to throw the ball well in 7v7s and 1v1s. I want to know if he can do it in a scrimmage with a rush, etc. Better yet, in a game with all the pressure on. I feel like everyone is pulling for him so hard, I make no secret that I am. Remember the throw to Melton I mentioned yesterday? Well Nesbitt made the same throw today, only down the left hash instead of the right, and Melton made a great effort to haul it in. Much ado from the crowd, coaches, and players.
Demaryius (bey bey or however is the proper way his grandmother would spell it) made a great catch in double coverage. Pretty much caught it with one arm. He is a specimen, if only we can get him the ball. I know he wanted it more last year. This is kind of like I always thought with CJ: just get him the ball!
Didn't see Calvin at practice today, maybe he had a final.
I would GUESS Bryce and Jaybo have to be our two main options for backup after seeing two practices. Jaybo puts the ball in there good from what I've seen. Bryce does too, but maybe not as good as Jaybo. The depth chart will be out Friday so I may eat my words. Nothing against Tevin, but I don't know that he has the arm. He needs work there, imo. Nothing against Booker but I don't know that he has the mobility. However i though he looked GREAT when he came in last year; also I've heard great things about his leadership ability.

Didn't see Tarrant out there today.
Lonowski was out watching practice.

Freshmen notes: #88 Antonio Wilson is tall. Maybe we give him some time at the buffet table and the weight room and we will be comparing him somewhat to MJ the way we compare beybey with CJ.
TJ Barnes is massive as well. Doesn't appear to have a huge gut or anything but he is big. If him and JC start someday...wow a couple of two-gappers that would let ends and backers wreak havoc.

In addendum:

I though Bryce Dykes had the roughest day with the football. I saw him miss on at least 2-3 pitches and on his first pass in 1-1s he had a pick.

If I were a betting man I'd say Josh is as close to a lock to start as you could get. He is a physcial powerhouse, built like a linebacker. Perfect for the abuse he will take running the ball. His pitches to the back, while not quite as clean as Jaybo, seemed to be good for the second day of offical practice.

Our D-line is sick, Coach MJ and Coach Vance were doing a great job breaking in the new guys. They seemed to be giving as much instruction as the staff.

also heard that TJ Barnes is turning some heads this year already. DUDE IS HUGE!!!!!

He will most likely be a starter next year.
