At the risk of justly receiving ridicule on multiple levels, I'll explain my situation and ask my question.
I haven't been to a game in several years, but I'm going tomorrow. My daughter's fiance (no pics of daughter, but future son-in-law is fair game) and mother (she's lives in TN, and again, no pics), are Ole Miss grads and season tic holders. I got tickets for us. They promised to be respectful visitors.
In the past, I've traditionally gone to the Varsity.
Besides the V, can you recommend a good pre-game sit down lunch spot? I'd like to park (another unknown at this point) walk to lunch and walk to BDS. Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time, but I'd love to find a place that is a good, convenient pregame meal.
TLDR: Any good walking distance places to eat before the game?
Thank you!

SOP is stopping at Chick-fil-A on the way down and smuggling sandwiches into Bobby Dodd using whatever orifice available

But seriously, gameday in Atlanta is incredible, I'm sure your ole miss in-laws will find that Tech's tailgating experience is hands down better than anything they will find at the Grove, like not even close.

There will be sandwiches down my pants for sure!
I would like to tailgate, but I haven't had time to plan or secure a good spot. I used to set up near the physics building, but bought season parking then. I'll show them around campus.

Pretty much always want to dine at the V before toe meets leather, even if it's just to be sure it passes the sniff test.

I concur. Park at the parking deck east of spring st and walk to the Varsity, through the tunnel and into Gameday. See YJA, have fun at Callaway and watch the band come down the hill!
