AP Pre-Season Top 10...thought to all contend for the national title...where are they now?

1- SoCal- 1 loss (monstrous upset to lowly Stanford!...ouch!)
2- LSU- 1 loss (who would think Kentucky would cause trouble?)
3- WVA- 1 loss
4- Texas- 2 losses for one of the three or four most talented teams in the country.
5- Michigan- 2 losses including the famed Appalachian State debacle
6- Florida- 2 losses
7- Wisconsin- 2 losses including a brutal drubbing by Penn State
8- Oklahoma- 1 loss
9- VaTech- 1 loss
10- Louisville- 3 losses already for the team who many think have the top QB in the country.

I would probably give Texas and Michigan the biggest flop awards based on their talent. SoCal is one win away from entering that prestigious flop group...and barely got their W against a bad Arizona team yesterday by getting 10 come from behind points in the 4th quarter.

This, my friend, is why preseason polls are stupid.

Only a one-loss team from the preseason top-10 can get into the MNC.

Watch out for Michigan though, I say they win the Big 10 as long as Mike Hart stays healthy.

Hart is as important to Meechigan as Tashard Choice is to our Jackets.

I completely agree. I have been arguing for years that the pre-season AP and Coaches polls adversely affect the BCS and should not be released for the first time until after the first Saturday in October....at the earliest.

Look at it this way...its kind of like recruiting rankings! :-)
