Predict our next head coach

^ I hope for the above, but my most realistic guess and who I think wants it more...

Edsell

Can't predict anything right now, but wish for an offensive guy who leaves Tenuta's defense alone (possibly Chris Hatcher) or Tenuta himself if we go with a defensive guy.

Preferably offensive, young, energetic and no ties to Ugag.:fingersx:

I feel obligated to throw out a name that nobody else does, just to be different, so here's my wild ass prediction:

Cuttcliffe.

I'd prefer Hatcher, but seeing as how I haven't seen his named mentioned once as a possibility other than on these message boards, I'd say its a long shot.

I'm going to guess someone from the SEC...other than that, I have no gut feeling.

Just a name I have read a little about --but haven't seen mentioned:

Charlie Strong

Norm Chow or Will Muschamp baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like it's going to be the Southern Miss guy who just left there. Jeff Bower. Joy. An old dude with 17 years of solid Conference USA experience.

Cuttcliffe.

Cutcliffe would be exactly what GT needs from a an offensive genius and QB developing standpoint. He's not young and fiery but he can X and O with the best of them. All welcome the RB play action wheel route against the grain baby!!!!!

We don't need Muschamp. We've HAD a really good defense. That AIN"T THE PROBLEM!!!

Hire Cutcliffe.

I don't have a name but I don't think the new coach will be from a name school or have D-I head coaching experience. I think we will take a chance on someone who has assistant coaching experience on the offensive side of the ball in the D-I ranks, or we will take a proven D-II winner.

Unfortunately for us, we're kind of broke. Therefore, we can't afford to go out and compete with the other D-I schools attempting to fill head coaching vacancies. Factor in that we must pay Coach Gailey, possibly some of his staff, the new coach, the new coach's staff, the renovations at Bobby Dodd; all that tells me we're going after someone we can afford.

We'll probably sign someone to a 500K to 685K base contract with incentives. If you think about it, it makes sense for us right now. If the new coach wins, people will come and revenues will go up. Hence, we'll be able to pay the incentives.

I have mixed feelings about what happened today. But let's face it, Coach Gailey lost the masses, which meant he had to go. I hope the masses weren't wrong for the sake of the program.

Here's a bold prediction:

We will not hire anyone with previous connections to LSU.

Cross off Fisher, Pellini, Muschamp, et al

Here's your menu:

Edsall
Hatcher
Graham
Locksley
Mason
Mystery Meat

Ummm.....tasty

[Just me making wild guesses]

According to the JACKSON CLARION-LEDGER the following are candidates for the OLE MISS h.c. job: JIMBO FISHER , DENNIS FRANCHIONE , MIKE MACINTYRE (N.Y. JETS ASST.) , RICK NEUHEISEL, CHARLIE STRONG, and WIL MUSCHAMP.

Hope we don't take too long.

Spurrier? :-)

Nah let's go with Chow. I still like the guy from Boise State tho
