Says he had no problem with Muschamp being a UGA grad. It seems the decision was primarily based on experience and PJ is the more qualified candidate in the respect.

Rest of the article brings to light a lot of other things on the search. Seven people were interviewed and Hatcher was one of them.

I agree with you. At the end of the day I think it all came down to experience, and with that as the criteria then CPJ was the best choice.
