PSA: GT vs FSU 2014 on ESPNU

Could tell both defenses made adjustments in the 2nd half or at least was able to stop/hinder the other team more than the 1st half.

One play that stands out to me was after Tech had gone up 21-14 in the first half essentially moving the ball at will forced FSU into a 3 and 12. FSU scores a touchdown on the play due to our DB falling down and Winston picking that receiver up to tie. Surely, I don't know whether the outcome would have been different but you got to think our chances were good to go up 28-14 if we get that stop.

Our D did well to hold them to FGs for most (all?) of the 2nd half.

Anyway...great game. Amazing how well the O was clicking down the stretch that year. JT was something else.

Also, Chris Fowler: Synjyn "Davis" at least twice.

We could have gone to the first playoff that year. Would have been epic.
might have been difficult with two losses.
but good God that Tech 14 team was sublime. and the defense playing its tail off in the 4th quarter is far too often unnoticed. glad AugustaJacket pointed it out.

we were at that game. left oddly disappointed and happy at the same time. disappointed we came so close and couldn't make it happen. happy we played one helluva game and went toe to toe with the national champs. second best ACCCG of all time.

I was at every home game that year plus COFH and the acc title game. I remember missed opportunities in the duke game. One thing that sticks out to me from the North Carolina game was wishing smelter had went out of bounds instead of scoring on the 40 yard counter play.

Duke and FSU were “it happens” losses. Both teams played really well on that given day. North Carolina was a game Roof gave away with his gigantic cushions and backpedaling at the snap on 3rd and 3. He was so afraid to get beat deep that he decided to give up a free 7 yards every play. It was like watching a western where a wagon train stays in the desert and dies of thirst rather than attacking the Indians to get to the river.

Ironically, that loss helped him get more aggrsssive the rest of the year. But then he went right back to it in 2016 and 2017. I’ll never for the life of me understand a once ferocious linebacker could coach that pitifully decades later.

Only a Tech fan could öööö over our most successful season in nearly 25 years.

öööö off.

Only a Tech fan would want to watch a game they know we end up losing and bizarrely feel good about it.
The 2014 ACC-CG sucked. We could've, should've won but didn't. öööö, might as well watch the 2009 game vs the mutts, or maybe the 2013 one.

That season showcased what PJ was capable of as a coach. His players, his scheme, his team. Too bad he just couldn't replicate it consistently.

That Orange Bowl was the most fun I've ever had watching a game. Just complete domination on that stage over a team that had been ranked #1 and whose QB plays for the Cowboys.

I don’t really want to watch it again, but it was a well played game against a good team that we were one mistake away from beating. From an “entertaining football game” perspective, it was pretty good. Just didn’t go our way. Doesn’t diminish how good the 2014 season was.

What does my post have to do with that lone game you miserable cum guzzling twat?

you're a goddamn masochist for wanting to watch a game that we lose, you limp-wristed, pillow-biting ass clown. You probably jerk off when Winston torches our defense.

EABOD.

Where did I ever talk about wanting to re-watch that game? I only spoke of what could have been, retard.

Johnson Derangement Syndrome makes another Tech fan go: REEEEEEeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeEEEEEeeee

you never take away the opportunity to score. Seen too many fumbled snaps at the 1 and goal line stands. I get him not scoring. But I also do not like tempting fate
Might have missed 1 or 2 home games. Was there for COFH tho

I agree with you. But in that game it seemed like they were not going to stop us. But as the man said IIWII
