Here are the QB ratings of Nesbitt and all the starting QBs we will likely face the rest of the regular season. What does this mean? Next to nothing. But still...

QB ratings through 10/3:
Riley Skinner: 154.4
Josh Nesbitt: 151.9
Tyrod Taylor: 150.8
Joe Cox: 146.4
Christian Ponder: 139.1
Thaddeus Lewis: 128.2
Jameel Sewel: 106.3
Larry Smith: 87.0

(Scott Blair's QB rating is 715.6)

I think it means a lot, frankly. Josh is playing really well against some pretty fair competition. His lit it up against MSU and ran very well against UNC.

Is the college scale different than the pro scale? I seem to remember the best pros average in the low 100s/high 90s and I remember another thread saying the 101st ranked guy in college is at 106. Something doesn't jibe there but I have never bothered to understand it.

Yes, the scales are totally different. This Wikipedia entry discusses the differences.

And here's a QB rating calculator for the NCAA and NFL (and AFL):
