Question about Officials

Are ACC officials trained just for ACC games and of course the games ACC teams play w/out of conference teams. Or, are all NCAA officials trained together no matter what conference they are to officiate? Are ACC officials payed by the ACC or NCAA?

The officials work for the league.

The training programs seem to be strictly voluntary, although there was a bit of scandal a few years ago where basketball refs were claiming conflict of interest where they could only get games if they paid to attend camps run by the ACC director of officials.
