Please let me know if I am wrong or maybe misinterpreting the way he speaks, but to me it seems like Coach key comes across as an arrogant pr*ck in his press conferences. I feel like the wittyness was cute at first but he is consistantly overdoing it for my liking. The zingers and stuff just seem very disrespectful and not coach like. Curious to know other peoples opinions please

I think he is trying to channel GOL but he isn’t as funny as GOL so it either comes off as lame or insulting.

FWIW, I don’t care; just win games. It likely is the one thing he could improve over time and would be nice: his public speaking and interview answers.

To me he sounds like a football coach. He certainly isn’t charismatic like Spurrier and never will be. But he also isn’t a fluffer like the clown. I’m happy with my football coach sounding like a football coach.
Add Spurrier to the renowned assholes list.

I kinda agree. Maybe he should watch some of his pressers and see if he thinks he needs some room for improvement. Then again he does better than Collins. That guy would talk around the world over simple questions. The guy I thought needed a lot of work was Todd Stansbury. Never heard so many uhs and ahs' from one speaker.
Edit: Agree with you Supersize, he does speak really fast.

Press conferences are boring anyway. They don't reveal anything that wasn't obvious from watching the game. And they don't reveal anything interesting about the next game they are going to play.

But I agree he can come across a little smug and he talks too fast. But that's ok. Its another reason I don't plan to listen to the press conferences.

Perhaps you’d like to hear tremendous effort and competition is king back to back 26 times in a row. You sound like someone who hasn’t gone through the trials and tribulations of the last 4 years.

I've had season tickets since i graduated in 1989, so I certainly have seen/felt/experienced the trials and tribulations. I was simply asking other peoples perception of the way he addresses the media and fans in weekly press conferences. I certainly like that I dont have to hear that word vomit ever again, but I do think CBK can seem a bit unfunny in his addresses.

But at the same time he quite frequently take several very subtle jabs at his opponents, namely Georgia, and I love it when he does that. Sometimes you have to listen closely and think about just what he said for a minute, but when you do, I think you will love it too.

Bless your heart. I've had them since 1980. Maybe you'd prefer to sit and listen the eloquence of Bill Curry and sit through 1-10 and 1-9-1 seasons. I'd rather watch winning football.
