Question about the 2 pt conversion attempt

So while at the game I didn't even realized that Marshall attempted a pitch on the 2 pt conversion. However on the one gif I've seen so far (https://www.sbnation.com/platform/a...orgia-tech-two-point-conversion-overtime-2017) the ball looks pitched not passed. Additionally it looks caught without any bounce on the ground. Why was this not reviewed/challenged? Or is there another anfle that clearly shows a forward pass and/or drop? I know we can't change the outcome, but am just curious. Thanks for the responses.
