Could this have had a bearing on CCG's hesitancy to sign his contract renewal?
web page
How squeaky clean is the "Hill" in this situation?
Does anyone here really know what is going on for sure?
Is Olivett for real? Is he telling the truth or is he just a trouble maker?
If he is a trouble maker, does he stand to gain financially by his charges?
If not financially, why is he even bothering?

well I bet GT will think twice b/f hiring another "whistleblower." It seems this guy has a habit of testifying against his employer.

Yea...no more whistleblowers on the hill!!! We must keep our corruption secretive! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So how did I know that would be a smart-ass comment before even opening your post GeeTee?

Just resist the urge to click "quote" and be subject to his asinine comments. I'm convinced it's a leghumper/ball-licker that SERIOUSLY has nothing better to do with his time than troll another teams board. Or could be a tech fan that likes to bait/fish to rile the waters. Waste of time.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugher.gif nah, I just choose to look at the program and all that has transpired on the hill the past few years with a realistic view vs a certain un-named poster whose yellow kool-aid mindset causes a skewed, blind optimism to any needed changes.

Besides, my comment above was a joke as indicated by the smiley face...some here are sooo sensitive.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugher.gif Very funny!

You are right though. You can tell how clean Tech has been throughout it's history by how badly they managed this problem.
When it comes to cheating, Tech is a complete amateur. We need to leave ncaa rule breaking to the pros. Go Dawgs!

Let me guess. Something along the lines of "I AM a tech fan but just have an alternative view!" I feel that your alternative view is generally negative and usually provides nothing beneficial for this fanbase.
btw--I didn't read a word of what you posted and will never know unless someone quotes it in their reply. I've read enough of the crap you spew and no longer give a shit about what you have to say. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puke.gif

Yet you have made 3 posts in this thread about him.
It's obvious that this guy drives you nuts, but don't let it get under your skin man.

I happen to think what he writes can be pretty funny at times, but I also believe he does what he does sometimes just to get a reaction.

This inactivity is driving me nuts! Is Rad going to throw an open house party when he gets here?

What could this have to do with Chan? I don't see the connection. Hell, if Chan was a man of honor and integrity he would wait until the new AD comes in and then discuss everything openly and get expectations straight before signing a five year deal. The deal he has on the table smells of a golden parachute type deal to me...

"What could this have to do with Chan?"
Maybe nothing at all.
RW, you could be right on the money. I'm not questioning Chan Gailey's honor or integrity, since he already seems to be at the top of that. The fact that he had not signed his contract made me wonder why. Also the fact that this Olivett has not helped GT's image lately and with a new AD coming in right away, I just wondered if it may have a bearing.

Rome,
My take on the contract is that Chan has been ready to sign it, and that the other party is the one that is holding things up.
Maybe I have been wrong.

Thanks PW,

Well, rest assured, smarter and better minds than mine are in control, so I'm sure they know what they are doing. I hope so anyway!!!
I still can't help but wonder at times why some things are done the way that they are.

What I heard was it was the lawyers screwing around with contract language. You know how those guys are!

Speaking of Chan, I'm going down to hear him speak in the morning. Think he'll address any of the recent issues or just ignore them and talk about hopeful things?

If you have the opportunity and can be professional (I'm not implying you can't be) ask him anything you want. He answered all my questions directly as well as the other questions asked by the group when he was down here in West Palm.

He stood around with us prior to signing day morning and answered all questions. The majority of the people that believe otherwise are the ones that don't take the time to attend these functions and talk with him. Their opinions are formed by what they read on the internet. If they did attend they would have a different opinion of him.

That's great!
Maybe with Rad-Man soon in the house, Chan won't be as tight lipped in the media. Part of me still thinks that he was ordered into the bunker.
