When George O'Leary took the Central Florida job, I read an internet newspaper article stating that (either G.O. or the whole football coaching staff-don't remember which for sure), would be the highest paid football coach in all D-1 football. I don't remember which paper I read it in but I believe it to be one of the area Florida papers.

Question is: Can anyone update us on how G.O. is faring with the University and the UCF fan base? Are they still in love with G.O. or are they considering the firing squad or what?

I was surprised to read back then that the pay would be the highest in D-1 college football.

I would be extremely surprised if that was true. Gailey get 1 mil. a year, which is pretty average at a BCS school and Tressel just signed a 2.5 mil. dollar contract at Ohio State.

I'd be surprised if Central Florida could sell enough tickets and get enough revenue from CUSA to do that.

From what I hear, the Ctl Florida staff is the highest paid staff in Conf USA by a wide margin.
