Questions about DC and Brick

Any scoop on Kines? Does he have a prior connection to CG? Any idea when we'll know?

Also (and I apologize if this has already been asked and answered) -- why would Haley leave a Div 1 DC job to demote to just a LB coach. I would like to think its because its TECH, but really, my instinct says there has to be more to it than that. Any scoop?
(a friend of mine at work who follows Ala A&M football says that Haley was a finalist for the HC job there).
