Did Bennett get any time running the 1st string offense? If so, then how did he look?

In the 4th quarter did our QB's get to see what they could do or did Gailey/Nix hold them back and only let them handoff to our tailbacks?

I anyone here satisfied with 3 touchdowns by our offense against Samford and only 3 second half points?

Was the point of playing all of our backups, to not score again, or to give them minutes?

Could our backups have scored with bettter play calling, or should we be praying that we don't ever have to depend on them?

What's worse, going for it on 4th and long (holding a huge lead) and not making it, or sending in our FG kicker to miss one that is clearly beyond his range and shaking his confidence?:(

First team OL, 2nd team WRs. He looked like a servicable backup. He's like Shaub to Vick - you won't mind having Shaub in but you'd rather have Vick.

Another question: Why did Manley go in the ballgame ahead of Garner? Is Garner in the doghouse? Or, is he not progressing as expected?

Somebody on the Hive theorized that it was because Manley is a year ahead of Garner and got to go in first due to his seniority. Best I've got so far.

Bennett was eradic. You could definitley tell its his first game action in a while. I think he last played late in the blowout loss in Blacksburg, maybe against Utah in San Fran. Had a beautiful over the top pass that McGuire should have run right under instead of jumping and missing it. taylor did miss Greg Smith wide open for a TD when he was pressure in the pocket, but overall not bad.

Because Garner looked like crap. Seriously. Garner is obviously the 4th string QB. And yes, he did have some pass plays in there, vs Troy's 2nd team defense.

I rather liked Bennett's play. He seems to have improved some over the UConn game last year. I did notice him check through a progression and throw to the dumpoff guy for a first down once, which is something Reggie never does. I still think Reggie is our best option for now, but I don't feel terrible about our #2 option. #3 and #4, though, looked like hell.

On the basis of Saturday, I don't think you can say that - Garner was in with 3rd and 4th team players from both squads. He only attempted 2 passes IIRC. Just really can't make any conclusions from that.
