Athletics director Dan Radakovich will meet with coach Chan Gailey as early as Monday to evaluate the state of the football program, associate athletics director Wayne Hogan said Sunday.

"That won't take place [Sunday or Sunday night]," Hogan said. "There's nothing out of the ordinary today. Dan is sticking to his plan, which has been resolute since Day 1."

Radakovich did not respond on Sunday to an e-mail or a telephone message seeking an update on the situation.

Gailey has not lobbied publicly to keep his job. He has said only that he is doing his best and that whether that is good enough is for someone else to judge.

I hope Dan is able to help Chan put his performance in clear perspective. Chan needs the guidance.

Gailey sounds like he is digging in for a full buyout.

Might be an interesting meeting, sounds like a deal is in place for Chan.

Dan wont just let him get all the money, he will try his best to pull some strings, its called ultimatum.

What kind of strings. Did the extended time of Chan's tour of NFL interviews earlier this year put him in a "for cause" situation?

Dan is smart, he will try his best to get out of owing someone money or atleast make it less.
