Radio for Pitt game

Good to know. I like to listen to post game on the way home, although I usually miss a lot of it since I leave after The Horse.

FWIW, 92.9 did some nice postgame after Tenn game. Granted, ours was the only game that night, and it was about 1:15 AM when I was listening, but I'd like to think they'd do some discussion after one of our games. I didn't listen any after Jax State game.

I'll know for sure this weekend.
 
Really wish we would get a new station to broadcast our games. I live 30 minutes from BDS and can rarely hear 93.7 or 680. Their signal sucks!
 
We really need to try to get 92.9 onboard with us. It's by far the best sports radio station in the city (and extends clearly to all the suburbs). They're currently Dawg leaning like everybody else, but they don't broadcast anything that's really UGA affiliated right now (as opposed to our "flagship" station, which is also "the official talk-radio station of the Georgia Bulldogs"...:facepalm:).

Seems like we could get them on board...

I just don't understand 93.7. First of all, you can't ever listen to it clearly. Second, they insist on solely covering the dwags during the week even though 95.5 is UGA's "official" station.

Honestly can't believe AA let this happen. Not just the official dwag pizza, but their pizza is horrible compared to others.

Disappointed some of y'all didn't completely trash the PJ's 2 weeks ago during Jax State game.
 
Isn't 92.9 a CBS affiliate? If that's the case, we know about CBS's contract with the SEC, and I don't seem them wanting to jump on board w/ an ACC team.

I didn't check, since I am not going to eat Papa John's pizza, but do the boxes at BDS have "Official pizza of the Georgia Bulldogs" on them?

I did have a delicious Sonny's BBQ pork sandwich in the upper north endzone. I didn't think we would ever get anything beyond hot dogs and pizzas in the poor people's section
 
We just re upped with 680/93.7/1230/whatever for another 6 years....Braves are committed to them for something like 20 and built them new studio and offices at The Battery....we will be on the hind teat for quite a while.

I am not sure why we (through IMG) didn't do a deal with 92.9. My tinfoil hat nature thinks no one wants to do a solo deal with us for fear of chasing off the dwag hoarde. I had a local sports talk radio guy tell me that the quickest path to bankruptcy in his business was to be viewed as favoring Tech over the Dwags. Apparently they have research that says the red and black folks complain loudly and change channels if they are thought to be talking too much Tech.

They always say they don't talk more Tech because more of us don't call in....that is garbage because those shows don't take even a tenth of the phone calls they used to and even if they did, they have run off the passionate Tech fan by ignoring us. It is easy to complain no one calls in when you ask for calls from Tech fans out of the blue on a random Tuesday in April.

The joke's on them - I quit listening to the Dwag-loving Atlanta sports talk stations (all of them) back when 790 was still going strong, and I haven't looked back since.

Tech will never be the sports headliner in this ugay/sec loving town. Even heard 680 this a.m. talking about how Clemson is just another sec football team that happens to be in the ACC. They can't bring themselves to talk Tech football unless it's something bad that's happened to us.

CBS Radio, I believe, is a different entity from CBS TV. Same overall bosses at the very top (Sumner Redstone?) but I don't think they do what ESPN Radio and ESPN Mothership do.
 
The Atlanta sports talk stations are going to do what caters to the majority of the listeners, and right now, that's the Mutts. Probably will be for our lifetimes.
But we keep beating the Mutts and keep winning bowl games and they will have to devote more attention to Tech.

No....no they won't. It isn't a meritocracy. It is just raw numbers. Tech would need to win 15 plus of the next 20 games with the Dwags while they were going 3-9 every year in order to flip the fan base size. That ain't ever gonna happen.
