Rain, ga Abandoning the Run

I am concerned about the rain tomorrow. The key to beating our defense is sticking with the run. ga has a habit of abandoning the run prematurely (as is my understanding). This would be good for us. However, the rain might make them commit to the run.

Will anyone who has actually been able to stomach watching ga this year give some insight into this theory? Ironically, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to ga.;)

I have heard about every single theory about the rain today. It will help us, it will hurt us, bring the right cleats, a slightly wet ball is more slippery than a soaked one, etc., etc. ,etc. Yours is definitely creative. I am ready to tee it up and see what happens. It should not be boring.

I believe the rain gives us a SLIGHT advantage but only if we can hold the ball. All the lateral movements on a wet field will help our O but also help their WR's.

If it is raining so bad they cannot throw then I think we will get a big advantage. With just running the dive and qb keeper we have some solid plays. The pitch has not been our biggest plays this year.

Thanks, guys. I also think the rain helps them on defense because they'll be playing slower and more cautiously. We need them making mistakes. The probability of such mistakes happening raises with the speed of the game. Conversely,......

Logic tells us one thing is certain. Nothing stinks worse than a wet dawg.

Joltin', I love the avatar.

I think they win on the practical / tangible side.

I think we win on the emotional / x-factor / intangible side. I just hope it is enough. It may very well be.

I know one thing is for sure; our guys are going to be ready to play. I have the utmost confidence that CPJ will have a team full of focused young men, tomorrow.

We will not have a flat, UVA-type game. We are not totally banged up and emotionally spent, so we won't have another UNC-type game.

yadda yadda. I can't wait for tomorrow.
