My list (I'm probably missing a few and the order of some of these is interchangeable):

1. MTSU 2012. I think this was the 3rd or 4th home game in a row. There was probably 30,000 in the stadium that day. No enthusiasm. ST section had about the only 20 people in section 222. The place was so flat and funeral like that the security guys didn't even care that we were sitting in the top row of the stadium openly drinking and chain smoking with nobody in the next 20 rows in front of us. There was nothing good about that game.
2. 2002 @Uga. Luckily I was so drunk I barely remember being at this game. Soooooooo drunk.
3. 2009 UGA. I was sure we were going to win that game. We were the better team and we let them just pound us up the middle over and over again. There is no way we should've lost the game.
4. 2001 @Navy. Sure we won, 70-7, but there is something joyless about sitting around 80 year old Navy vets just days away from kicking the bucket while singing Ramblin Wreck after going up 42-0 in the 2nd quarter.
5. 2005 NCSU. From we going to win to WTF just happened in one ricochet pass.
6. 2001 Clemson. Woody Dantzler still haunts my football dreams.
7. 2001 Maryland. Soooo drunk for this game. However my BAC hit 0.00 when Joe Burns started running for the sideline. Stay in bounds Joe! 2001, my freshman year, sucked hard.

2003 Clemson - Good lord they hammered us at home.
1994 Season

I'll think of more

Not sure how any could top MTSU 2012, but I actually didn't go to that game. I'll have to think about that one.

Either 2013 Uga or 2006 Uga. With 2015 UNC coming close, just because of the 21 point turnaround.

51-7 VPI game was pretty bad.
51-7 U[sic]GA game was worse.

I'm having a hard time distinguishing "most painful losses" from "worst games." Things that come to mind are that Miami game that we lost then won then lost, U[sic]GA '97 and '13, the UVA hook and ladder game, etc. but those were tense and exciting, at least.

'97 ugag. Saw Charles Wiley score and celebrated like a madman--we finally beat those clowns and ended the streak. Only to get sick when Frakes shanked the kickoff and then a phantom pass interference flag thrown way late and a TD from Bobo to some knucklehead with :08 left. Wanted to jump off the ledge of the old north end zone stands.

Of course, the next three years helped... ;)

2006 accg. I died a little that day. Awful weather, the least entertaining game ever and worst possible result.
1998 vs BC. hottest game ever. We probably would have finished in the top 5 with a W.
1997 vs mutts. Great game, ööööty weather, and a dagger to the heart at the end.

I don't like the negative turn we've taken here.
But I'll bite.

#1 2002 GT @ UGA 7-51

#9 2002 GT @ UGA 7-51
#10 2002 GT @ UGA 7-51

Honorable mentions:
@ Kansas State 2010
UGA 2009

EDIT: I forgot ACC Championship 2006 :(

Uga 51-7 game will always be #1. Team quit and it was obvious.

Others:
Duke in Durham when they broke long ACC losing streak
Silicon Valley Mud Bowl
Uva hook and ladder game
Maryland when the sniper was out
Maryland when Joe Frickin Burns ran out of bounds
Multiple Va Tech games that run together

Almost forgot the FSU game in either 2000 or 2001 where they called an odd pass interference against us.

UGA in 1978. Ahead by 20 just before the half, Eddie Lee Ivery went out injured, lost 29-28. Long drive home, after.

Uga 2009 --- Ranked #7 in the country and got beat by Joe Cox. To add insult to injury we were seated near their band.

MTSU 2012 --- best seats I've ever had for a game and I had to watch THAT??

2009 Gardner Webb

Booker as QB after Nesbitt and Shaw were injured. Had to block a FG to win 10-7.

2007 VPI game.

Called timeout before we ran 1 play. On the bright side, it was another finishing nail to the Gailey coffin...

Gardner Webb was 08. I was there, but since it was a win, even sloppy, it wasnt the worst.

Mtsu they stole Grohs signals
51-7 ugag
LSU peach bowl
Ugag loss with bobo at qb
Losing to ugag on Ray goofs last game
Emerald bowl against Utah
Accg against weak florist
Dook loss last year

I don't go to UGA games anymore, so I'm not going to list them. This is just by games I've attended.

2003 Clemson was wretched
MTSU 2012 was frustrating
BYU 2012 was a farce
Garner Webb 2008 was the worst win I've ever been to.

But the absolute worst game in history for me, hands down, in terms of overall gut-punch-ification, was NC State 2005. To be on such a high note, driving to win the game, and throw a pick in the end zone, in the way we did, was just horrible. I had friends fly in from Stanford to attend that game, actually. They were amazed at how great the atmosphere was. I was too pissed off to appreciate the compliment.

1997 UGA as far as heartbreak, 2002 UGA as far as embarrassing loss. You can't find two worse games.
