this is just growing pains. We may lose a couple more b/f it is over.
This is to be expected. And all this was talked about even b/f CG was let go.
It is about W's and L's and PJ has a certain type of guy that he wants. The reality is probably most guys recruited and currently on the team do not fit that bill.
They are saying Peek is transferring as well. Next year will probably be a tough year, but this move was for the future.
Did you not see Hoosiers? You got to tear them down b/f you build them back up.

All this is to be expected. CG had strong NFL ties and did a good job of putting GT people on rosters.
If you want to play in the NFL you are going to go to an NFL college system.
If we win we will make all this up and we actually will get "special option" recruits that can help us out.

The recruiting class is full at LB even with the loss of TJ. Reid is not out of the picture yet though, there are also a few other CB's we are targeting if we do in fact lose Reid.

If he was average we would not have offered him. He came to our camp, posted the fastest forty time of 4.42 on a slow turf, and was reviewed live in drills we chose by our own defensive staff. We want to save this recruit and we are trying.

Reid's only other good option would be South Florida. Buffalo, Indiana, and Vanderbilt also offered.
Your getting caught up too much on the stars....
As Hivered has said..The coaches know the real deal about him...Not some so-called recruiting guru...
Thanks for the update dems. You have any news on recruits on the offensive side of the ball. Quarterbacks who are looking at GT?

Yeah but the coaches who originally evaluated him were only good at picking out guys who could get us to 7 wins a year. Maybe the new coaches will eventually start turning up more of the 9 win guys.

More names should start coming out soon. I know we are back in the mix with Matt Roark. BJ Daniels probably isn't happening. Coley White is a longshot.

I have heard the same dem. Roark has us back on the list. Matter of fact, I do not think our current coaches are that big on Coley White as a QB either. BJ Daniels is out.
The AJC this morning reports that QB Pete Rose (currently committed to VT as a DB) is visiting this weekend....as well as CB JT Floyd (currently committed to TN)...and Joe Jones (DE looking at VT, CT, GT, and TN-no TN offer).
Read in the AJC where Reid said he was still committed to Tech, but wanted to explore his other options and will take official visits to NCSt, UCF, USF in the coming weeks. I've heard that CPJ's policy is like O'leary's in that if you commit and then take official visits elsewhere, our offer will be revoked. Is this true, and if so, I guess that means we will cut ties with Reid?
