Seems strange to see A&M fire a coach that is 10 times better and 10 times more succesful that Chan Gailey will ever be.

BW, I think at some point in life you made a pass at Chan and he rebuked you. Let it go brother. Nothing can be done about the previous bowl coaching staff, it is over with. Quit whining. Come up with something constructive about what we should do now, not what wasn't done then. If you really care.

Being his first year, I say give CG the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand, if Chan the Man ever pulls another boner like this against the hated leg-humpers, his a$$ is grass(read: he'll be in the soup line with Slowcum).

just curious....what are you basing your statement that Gailey is a "much better" coach than Slocum....Slocum has been at A&M for 13 years and has never had a losing season

Yeah with a .715 winning percentage in a much tougher conference than Tech plays in...

Granted some of those wins were against the SWC but hell they were all cheating then and he still won.

Might want to look at actual facts before stating stuff like Gailey is a better coach because at this point that is false!

The same clowns who are calling for Coach Gailey's head here would have done the same to Slocum, since his team finished 6-6 and was stomped by Texas.
