Thanks to all of these coaches for their hard work and effort to bring GT back into the national scene that it so well deserves to have.

I'd buy any one of these guys a Coca Cola if they'd let me.

I was under the impression that Giff (and maybe Geis) was the reason for the big turnaround.

But the wealth was spread around. This is good.

So what casued the big turn around this year then? Getting the Hill to be more flexible? Getting the 'story' right? Chan being more heavily involved in recruiting?

Clearly stellar results!!!

A few things changed that helped recruiting:
1. Replacing Wilson with Giff.
2. Bringing in Geoff to organize recruiting and help identify players earlier. Geoff did a great job in finding players that we wouldn't have found in previous years.
3. A good relationship between the hill and Chan.
4. Giff's philosophy of not being afraid to go after any player no matter what school is recruiting them.
5. The state of Georgia upgrading the required core courses which increased the pool of players we can now recruit.
6. Chan's decison on new hires to bring in coaches that are good recruiters (Kelly & Hunter).
7. Continuity in the staff which helped in building relationships with the high school coaches.
