Not much has changed...

Sean Renfree stat update- He has thrown for 12 TD's in 5 games with ZERO interceptions...and over 1,000 yds (200+ ypc game and 2.4 TD's throwing).

Lots of big names have us in the final five....and these are big names guys....

- Gerrell Robinson (WR; 6-4, 210)- AZ (soft verbal), OR, GT (visit 11/24), UCLA, SOCAL, FL
- Hubie Graham (TE)- PITT, UCLA, IA, MI, GT (visit 11/24)
- Michael Williams (TE/DE)- AL (soft verbal), GT (visit 11/24)
- Undra Billingslea (TE/DE)- AL (soft verbal), GT (visit 11/24)
- Chase Thomas (TE)- AUB, ST, GT
- Donta Hightower (TE)- AL, VAN, GT lead TN, AUB
- Kenneth Page (OL)- CL, SC, GT (visit 11/24), NC, ND, TN, AL
- Etienne Sabino (LB)- MIA, NC, SOCAL, GT (may visit 11/17), FL
- Brandon Thompson (DT)- already visited...GT and CL lead with FSU, LSU, MIA on outside looking in.
- William Green (DE)- AL, AUB, GT, FL, FSU
- Corey Liuget (DE)- MIA, FL, GT (may visit 11/24), GA, AL, AUB
- TJ Barnes (DT/OT)- AUB, AL, GT (visit 11/24)
- Omoregie Uzzi (OL/DT)- GT (visit 11/24) or GA
- T'Sharvan Bell (CB; 6-0, 170, 4.47 camp)- GT (visit 11/24), RUT, CL, AUB, SC, WV
- other OL's being evaluated including Mesh Wokomaty, but he does not have an offer from us yet.

Opposing coaches are already using GT "alumni" CG-bashing and board talk against us. Some of these guys and/or their coaches even have JacketsOnline or GoJackets subscriptions. Not that we are by any means a large part of recruiting...we should save the coaching change talk until December just to be helpful. It does not do this coach or any future coach any favors at this point anyway.

Lets hope we can finish strong....particularly with the TE's and DL/OL.

Thanks for the update. Looks like the UGAg game is going to be a huge one for recruits...hopefully we can finally pay them back for 6 years of misery...

Do we have a sense of what these recruits will do should there be a coaching change?

Also, the guy that decommitted from Arizona - any update on him?

Just to expand a little on what Hivered posted…

Gerrell Robinson (WR; 6-4, 210)
AZ (soft verbal), OR, GT (visit 11/24), UCLA, SOCAL, FL
He wants to take an official visit here for the Georgia game. We are supposed to be done at Wide Receiver but we would not turn away a talent like Robinson, if he wanted to be a Jacket. I don't know what are chances of getting a commitment from him are but he's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Hubie Graham (TE)
PITT, UCLA, IA, MI, GT (visit 11/24)
What can I say about Hubie? Once considered a strong Pitt lean, a commitment from him seemed highly unlikely just a few short weeks ago. However, he has showed us some favor in recent weeks and we have got him to take an official for the Georgia game. My gut says that it will come down to Tech and Pitt for his services.

Michael Williams (TE/DE)
AL (soft verbal), GT (visit 11/24)
Undra Billingsley (TE/DE)
AL (soft verbal), GT (visit 11/24)
This could be an interesting development. Michael Williams and Undra Billingsley are both verbally committed to the University of Alabama and both are supposed to be on Tech’s campus for the UGA game. I would think that we have a shot at landing at least one of the two…who knows, maybe both.

Chase Thomas (TE)
AUB, ST, GT
We are not quite out of it yet for Mr. Thomas and if he decides that he wants to be a Yellow Jacket, I seriously doubt that we would say no. I am not sure how receptive he has been to playing Tight End. However, he must not despise the idea if he still considers us in his top three. Auburn will be tough to beat at this point but we are definitely still in it with Chase.

Donta Hightower (TE)
AL, VAN, GT lead TN, AUB
We appear to have made a good impression on Dont’a. Bama and Vandy (yes I said Vandy) seem to be our biggest competitors for his services. We are the only one of the three that wants him to play offense, a Tight End/H Back type of role. From what I have read, he seems to like the offensive side of the ball more but he thinks that he may be best suited for defense. Only time will tell what Mr. Hightower has in mind.

Kenneth Page (OL)
CL, SC, GT (visit 11/24), NC, ND, TN, AL
Kenneth has been on campus several times over the last year. However, the competition for his services is still as hot as ever. As he continues to narrow his list, the Jackets seem to always make the cut. However, both Clemson and South Carolina are still there as well. It seems that both Kenneth and his family like Tech a lot. We have put a lot of time and resources into Kenneth. Hopefully, it will pay off in the end.

Etienne Sabino (LB)
MIA, NC, SOCAL, GT (may visit 11/17), FL
It was said that Sabino would visit Tech for the North Carolina game. I don’t think that he is. I would look for him to make a decision sooner than that, maybe the first week in November. At the present, he seems to be a UNC lead with Tech and Ohio State close behind. However, he has made it a point to mention Tech several times, even when the questions don’t necessarily pertain to us. Just something to keep in mind.

Brandon Thompson (DT)
Already visited...GT and CL lead with FSU, LSU, MIA on outside looking in.
Most think that it is a battle between Tech and Clemson for Brandon’s services. Once upon a time, Brandon was considered a lock for the Tigers. However, I have the feeling that Tech is the clear leader of the two. However, I am not sure that we are the clear leader of the four…Huh, what??? Florida State and LSU are both very much in the picture…as much as Tech or Clemson, in my opinion. Thanks in large to Chaplain Moore, Tech’s relationship with Brandon and his family strengthened greatly during his visit. I think that we ultimately wind up landing Brandon, but he is a scary cat at the moment. He is keeping everything so quiet right now that I don’t know if any school has a real feel for what he is thinking.

William Green (DE)
AL, AUB, GT, FL, FSU
I’ll eat my hat if William Green becomes a Yellow Jacket. I just don’t see it happening.

Corey Liuget (DE)
MIA, FL, GT (may visit 11/24), GA, AL, AUB
We got on Corey late but we have had a relationship with this young man for a while now. Some will remember his attendance at one of our camps this past summer. He does seem genuinely interested in Tech but he may be hard to lure away from the stat of Florida this late in the process; especially Florida State. We really need to get him on campus again. I think that our chances increase dramatically if he visits.

TJ Barnes (DT/OT)
AUB, AL, GT (visit 11/24)
TJ is someone that we haven’t discussed in a while. It seems to be between Tech and Auburn for his services. Apparently, both his father and his uncle are big Auburn supporters and alumni, if I am not mistaken. However, I think that TJ is a little more of a Tech lean. I thought that I heard that Auburn was backing off a little as well. However, I am not sure if that is true or not.

Omoregie Uzzi (OL/DT)
GT (visit 11/24) or GA
Uzzi, Uzzi, Uzzi. We have been talking Uzzi for a long time. Actually, I am a little surprised that he is still on the market. I really thought that we had him about two months ago. However, UGA is making a strong push for Omoregie. He has been on campus at least 6,500 times this year. Okay, maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration but not too much of one. He has developed some great relationships at Tech and I think that it pays dividends in the end.

T'Sharvan Bell (CB; 6-0, 170, 4.47 camp)
GT (visit 11/24), RUT, CL, AUB, SC, WV
T’Sharvan may be one of the biggest wild cards of the group. He seems to have genuine interest in Tech. We were supposed to be done at DB but you don’t let an athlete like Bell get away. We are recruiting him to play corner and I think that he would be a great one. Fingers crossed…I am not sure what this kid has in mind. We should know a lot more when/if he visits.

If changes are ever made...either a first week of December or March change is the best way to secure recruiting. Mid-season is messy and gives signs of chaos. Early December announcement of a new coach gives you time to save them. The big problem is they will all have the official vists used up by 11/24...and all of the in-home visits from a head coach could be used up. This makes it challenging...particularly since most of these recruits talk about the staff and CG in their commitments and comments.

With any change before signing day you are going to lose a couple.

We need to all assume we are going to go 9-3 and win a bowl game and all will be well...save evaluations for after all the games have been played...and go from there. It is still early and we want to make sure we "support the program" by helping give it the best chance to win down the road regardless of what happens.

Correct on his uncle and father...but I also believe they played football at Auburn. However, believe it or not...the coaches think we have an even or slightly better than even shot at him.

Q4T!
btw--the information that you and mustang, etc. provide is the MAIN reason why i get on these boards. to hear info about our possible future prospects. i really don't want to be the one that's talking smack and scaring the kids away.

if a change is made...it's fine by me but i do know that nothing i say on these boards will affect drad's decision(which is a good thing). if i want to have my voice heard I'll go straight to him because i know he's responsive.

so folks...if you REALLY care about the program and want to help recruiting for the future. STFU!!
