Any movement on our recruits since the dead period is over? Any players we're after that is "flying below/under the radar"?
I am curious to see/read who our top priorities are for our new coaching staff. Also if we can expect to see improvements in recruiting from the West or parts of TX with Buzz and the other new coaches on staff?
Interesting to see that Roark is now coming on a unofficial visit to GT....Vital the RB from TX sounds like a strong possibility for us...Anyone have any insight on him? Uzzi seems like he has a new opportunity to show case his talent in the Army game. Are we still strong contenders for him?
Where do you think we need the most help? I think it may be in the back field on defense. I think we were burned too many times on soft coverage or deep this past year...this really hurt us w/ momentum overall....I hope Kelley can really work some wonders there....(Can we expect to see Burnett back in the same position next year?...He is a special defensive talent)....
IN PJ's offensive package what do you think is going to be the hardest position player to recruit? WR?TE?
FB? I am just curious overall...
Also in this type offensive package what type of OL can we expect to see 6'4 300lb range or more like the 280-290 quick/mobile type due to shifting/down field blocking.... Talk to me

in a nutshell

we are focusing solely on RB's, QB's, WR's (all in the form of athletes) as well as OL/DL to round out this recruiting class.

New names will pop up...although there is a lot of work to get done expediting things through the hill as the transcript has to be approved before they can visit. So...we have to assess the player...receive their academic info....get them cleared...get them to visit....and build a relationship to gain the commitment all in short order. This will be tough but they will be putting all the effort forward to do this.

The big visit weekend is January 11...but we will likely have kids coming through every weekend through signing day...just smaller groups.

This the first test and not an easy one.Get some excitement up on the program and get some good players and not just warm bodies -IN 4 WEEKS.
If PJ/staff are successful it will show a alacrity and capability that CG did not have for a LONG time.
I was disappointed that PJ couldn't convince the WR from Henry Cty to stay. Not a great sign but not a killer either. The Pridemore guy will be another challenge.

PJ's first year of recruiting wil be his toughest. In part due to short notice and in part due to his style of offense and the change of leadership.
