Nothing specific but insiders over on the Hive are extremely optimistic that Tech is going to pull a 'Shock and Awe'(my words) in football recruiting circles this year.

Tech's camp this past weekend was very successful not only in the attendance of a boatload of Blue Chippers.....but in how these Blue Chippers meshed personally and was recruiting each other....and most of it was to Tech!

As Mel Allen used to say....."Now how about that"!

Tech may end up with 18-20 scholarships and will need them all if recruiting does turn up 'Aces'.

Kids wasn't just coming from across the street either....Steven Threet came down from Michigan, DJ Donley came in from Folkston, Josh Nesbitt took the ACT in Athens that morning and was at Tech that afternoon just to watch and hangout!

What does that say about our staff and the athletes that Tech is recruiting? A helluva lot if you ask me.

I definitely like reading that! Hopefully we'll snag a chunk of these guys. We just found out about the specifics of the scholarship situation on Rivals. Good & Bad I suppose.

Way to go SLJ.
You are definitely "DA MAN"
I appreciate this upbeat post and hope it continues.

Good question.
To me, it sounds like Dan Radokovich had made it clear to Wayne Clough that he would love the opportunity at Georgia Tech IF the Hill got off their soft ass high horse
and allow Georgia Tech to compete.

Everyone in the world knows that TECH is not about cheating any system.
We have now passed this probationary gallstone, and it's time to get to business.
In the next few years I will at least prove myself right that today's great athlete kids are not afraid of going to a good school.
We will win championships again soon.

guys

I love Rad, but he has not done anything yet in regards to recruiting. This is simply the influx of recruiting talent and recruiting enthusiasm among coaches, replacing Wilson with Collins, and CG hitting stride with the sales pitch. There still could very well be Hill issues, but Rad said to send any problems to him. I think we could take some public commitments from higher profile players that are GT borderline (not NCAA borderline) and put the pressure on The Hill.

So far, we have had to back off on some kids we looked good for and others we only lack a commitment from because of a test hurdle (i.e. Sacoby Carter) or grade. Carter will beat his btw...he will make it.
