Thanks for the positive comments guys.
To answer some of the follow-up questions....
Hopefully we will finish strong at TE, OL, and DL...we are definitely in it with a bunch of big-time players. Last year they fell our way and we ended up turning away top notch players we would have taken with a full allotment. This year does not have quite the magic of last year...but the hard work has us in the game. Next year (the 2009 signing class) is showing signs of that same magic from last year.
We are now in the hunt with many top notch TE's and will take two if we can get two good ones. They include Hubie Graham (PA), Quentin Williams (PA), Michael Williams (AL- soft verbal to AL), and Undra Billingsley (AL- soft verbal to AL). There are two others we may offer. One is an academics issue and the other requires further evaluation.
We are still in it with two great DE's in Corey Liuget (FL- soft verbal to IL) and William Green (AL). We also are neck and neck with Clemson for Brandon Thompson (GA).
Two xtra jumbo athletes that could play OL or DL in TJ Barnes (AL) and Omoregie Uzzi (GA) continue to have us in their top two. If we lose Barnes to Auburn it would only be because his father and uncle played there.
Several great OL's have us near the top in addition to Uzzi and/or Barnes....Kenneth Page (SC), Gregory Shaw (FL), and Ricky Barnum (FL). There are at least two others we are evaluating for an offer.
The last two CB's we are offering are T'sharvan Bell (FL...we love this guy)...as well as Travis Howard (FL).
Etienne Sabino (FL) is the only LB we have an offer out to as we already have three good ones (Sylvester is REALLY having a great year).
We are still talking to AJ Jenkins as he really still loves GT. It is simply a family issue we need to work through. We will see...if not you will see some other good receivers enter the mix as we have turned many away once we received AJ's "commitment".
Most visits will happen 11/24 for the UGA game...some in early December.
All of our current commits are having great senior years...particularly Chris Jackson, Steven Sylvester, Richard Watson, Jon Lockhart, and Sean Renfree.
